Can you remove the dents from my car?

use PDR to give your car a dent-free finish

We definitely understand how frustrating it can be to suddenly discover a new dent on your car.  It can happen so easily—in any Bel Air parking lot, driving through gravel and roadwork debris, or even during the rare Harford County hailstorm.  No matter how your car gets afflicted with dents, it is not pretty and it’s not easy to look at every day.  When it happens, you’re probably thinking, “Great, now I have to either live with this or spend a ton of money to get it fixed.”  But I have some good news for you.

There is a way for us to repair your car without having to cost you a lot of money or time.  What I’m talking about is PDR.

What is PDR?
PDR stands for “Paintless Dent Repair” or “Paintless Dent Removal” and it encompasses several methods that we can use to removal minor autobody damage without needing to repaint your vehicle.  One of the most common ways that technicians conduct Paintless Dent Removal is to pull the dent out by using a specialized tool on the surface of your vehicle on the point of impact.  Another method we use involves accessing the underside of the body panel and pushing the dent out.  Along with specialized tools for the process, we also apply lighting techniques to reflect any imperfections on your car’s surface  Doing this allows us to be as thorough as possible when repairing your vehicle.

Will Paintless Dent Removal work on my car?
The most important factor for whether we can perform Paintless Dent Repair is that the damage must be minor.  However, it is not restricted to just dents—we can also use Paintless Dent Repair on some creases and even bumper dings.  Keep in mind, though, that if your car’s paint job was damaged when the dent happened, it will probably still need to be repainted.  Our skilled technicians at Bel Air Autobody can usually visually assess whether Paintless Dent Repair can be performed.  If there is any difficulty in making a visual assessment, the technician will gently attempt to perform Paintless Dent Repair to see if it’s possible.  It is part of our effort to save you both time and money.
